A decent idea but not super effective

What I’d really like is a way to prevent cookies from being stored in the first place, but in lieu of that I’d settle for cookie removal, which is what Cookie 5 purports to offer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to do it that well.

To be fair, it mostly does what it claims, though for reasons that I do not understand it falls short. I’ve configured it to delete cookies and other data at a specified interval and it does keep the number of cookies down, but the number of stored cookies appear to rise ever so slowly and it simply will not delete the cookies that remain, whether I wait for the interval timer to fire or I tell it to delete them immediately. So yeah, not that great.
